Mixed Section
SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP - August 15th- 30th

DATES - Entry to the tournament closes on Friday Aug 8th. The Championship starts on Friday August 15th with Finals Day on Saturday August 30th followed by our end of tournament celebrations in the Royal Marine Hotel. Matches will be played weekday evenings from 6pm and during the day over the weekend’s August 16th/17th and 23rd/24th. We will require minimum availability of 2 days (combined with doubles partner).
Main Event: There are 9 events, and each member can register a maximum of 3. The nine events are (1) Ladies Singles, (2) Men’s Singles, (3) Ladies Doubles, (4) Men’s Doubles, (5) Mixed Doubles, (6) Girls Singles U21s, (7) Boys Singles U21s, (8) Ladies Singles 0ver 40s, (9) Men’s Singles Over 40s
Plate Event: If you lose your first match, in the Ladies, Men’s, and Mixed Doubles main draw, you will be entered in the Plate competition. There will be combined plate competitions for Ladies Singles/Over 40s, and for Men’s Singles/Over 40s.
Bowl Event: If you lose your second match in the Ladies, Men’s, or Mixed Doubles main draw, you will be entered in a Bowl competition
Please note: If we run into scheduling delays, it may not be possible to run all Plate / Bowl events or, we may need to enter first match losers directly into the Bowl event.
Ladies Section
SENIOR LEAGUE – Closing date for sign up Monday August 4th
Senior league signup will close next Monday August 4th. Feel free to DM Colette if you are away and won’t make it to the club to sign up.
OVER 60S LEAGUE - Sept 3rd - October 1st
As part of the senior league there is an o60 section which is played on Wednesday mornings at 11 am. We are hoping to enter 2 teams - a Class 1 and a Class 2 - our Class 2 team won this league last year and were promoted to Class 1. The dates are as follows: starts Wed 3rd Sept and runs for 5 weeks. Finals on 29th October

Please only sign up if you are available for at least 3 of the 5 pool matches
MEN’S MORNING – Sunday Mornings
Men’s morning will be on this Sunday morning at the usual time of 10am - 12 so do come along for a hit and a coffee!
JUNIORS
Congratulations to all our Juniors who are continuing to play in the Leinster Tournaments over the summer. Last week it was fantastic to see some great results from our Juniors in the Clontarf T100 Tournament.
We had representation across different age groups as well as a few winners. Congratulations to Layla McCambridge who was the winner in the Girls Singles U16, to Grace Geraghty and Layla McCambridge who won the Girls Doubles U16, to Grace O'Callaghan who won the Girls Singles U14 and finally to Eabha Dubh who was 3rd in the Girls Singles U18's. Fantastic results.

JUNIOR SUMMER CAMPS - Sign up now - next camp first week of August
Stephen’s Camp : 5th – 8th August : Tuesday - Friday : 4 days
Adrienne’s Camp : 25th – 27th August : Monday – Wednesday : 3 days

Please note, members can bring a friend to these camps. When bringing a friend, the member must book and pay for the friend on Easy Payments (under Bring a Friend)
JUNIOR SUMMER SUPERVISION
Summer Supervision (for children age 7 and older) continues this week, Mon-Fri 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm. Children must go home at 1pm as no supervision between 1 and 2pm. Please contact Karen MacKenna if any questions.
