Ladies social tennis takes place weekly every Wednesday during the school term from10am – 12pm. Lady members can enjoy a game of tennis, followed by a coffee, cake and a chat. It is a great way to get to know members of the club that you may never otherwise meet, and also get to play with a variety of doubles partners.
There is no booking required, simply pop down on a Wednesday at 10am and you will be placed in a doubles pairing.
This is a perfect way of creating new tennis friendships that may last a life time!
The Ladies Committee organises Charity Leagues that take place on a Monday and Tuesday morning in autumn and spring. This is a great chance to become part of a team, competing against other local tennis clubs. Climb the tennis ladder and see how far you can get for the club!
We use every opportunity to have fun while raising funds for our yearly agreed charity. Don’t be surprised if you are asked to put on a spooky hat for the Halloween tournament, dress in love hearts for the Valentine’s tournament or put on flower power sunglasses for our Spring Festival Tournament. Have a great game of tennis in a great atmosphere, followed by raffles and prizes for winners and runners up and even best dressed.
Finally, the Ladies Christmas party gives everyone a chance to show that they have clothes beyond the tennis lycra! Dress up in your sparkly Christmas gear and enjoy a class of prosecco, a delicious dinner before music and dancing. This always ends up a great evening and not to be missed.
