UPDATE  FROM  STEPHEN

We sure had a super Junior Championship Finals day last Saturday.

From the U/10's to the U/18's the matches were hotly, but very sportingly contested. The standard was of a very high level.

I was delighted to present the special "Harry Crowe" trophy to Leylah Mc Cambridge - and the Boy of the year to Milo Leyden and  Girl of the year to Eabha Dubh - they stood out with great leadership qualities and always with a pleasant, friendly demeanor around the club.

Well done again  to Karen & Nicole for running the tournament so efficiently.

A word of congratulations to our Juniors who took to the circuit over the summer.....you sure kept the Monkstown flag flying with some great wins.

Even though the summer is coming to an end do keep your interest in tennis going through the coming months & sign up for one of the coaching sessions.

The Senior Championships are closing in with Finals day on Saturday next - except for the mixed Final -  which will be played tomorrow, Friday, evening.

Some super tennis on view so do pop down over the next evening or two and create a great atmosphere all round.

Thanks to Dermot & Colette and the gang in the kitchen who have lovely refreshments on offer all evening!

Hope you all had a great summer - back to the old routine now so  make the most of the last few days & pop down to the club!

All  the  best                Stephen
