MLTC Club Notices 4th September 2025
MLTC NEWSLETTER 4th September 2025
BEST WISHES TO OUR JUNIORS WHO ARE BACK TO SCHOOL!
SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025
As the senior Championships have come to a close, congratulations to all the winners, runners up and participants. Dermot and Colette would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support also those who volunteered to make this key event a success. These was such great tennis throughout the few weeks and even the weather on Finals Day didn’t dampen the atmosphere or the amazing matches that took place.
We would also like to thank everyone for their constant positive feedback and good humour that kept us going over the busy 2 and a half weeks.
And finally, we would like to thank the non-participants of the Championships for their patience in receiving so many messages and also giving us the use of the courts in the evenings and over the weekends, allowing this even to occur. We do appreciate that and thank you!

Congrats Richie - a super win for you.
The Senior League commenced last weekend - best of luck to all teams.
Big weekend of tennis coming up on Sat 13th / Sun 14th Sept when Ireland play China in the Davis Cup at the Sport Ireland Campus.
How proud are we in Monkstown to have not one, but two members representing Ireland in the tie.
Huge congrats to our 2 Conors!...Conor Gannon on his selection to the team and Conor Niland, who will Captain the team.
Conor (N) commented "As a team we are very excited to get a chance to compete in Dublin for the first time since 2015. We are looking to build on the win over Saudi Arabia in February against a very good China P.R. team.
A number of our players are in very good recent form and we can't wait to showcase our play in front of our passionate Irish fans at the Sport Ireland Complex"
Tickets can be purchased via the Tennis Ireland website - www.tennisireland.ie
Come on guys - book your tickets and get a big gang of proud Monkstown
supporters there for the weekend - the atmosphere will be electric!
All the best Stephen
