UPDATE  FROM  STEPHEN

A very busy end to the summer season with the club buzzing for the Senior & Junior Championships.

On the Junior circuit the highlight of the season is The Junior Championships of Ireland  being held this week in Fitzwilliam.

We have a great representation from Monkstown with Rosie, Robyn & Richie Kennedy - Mary O'Callaghan - Zoe & Harry Craig - Daniel & Sam Carney - & Darragh O'Sullivan all qualifying for the main event.

They did us proud  -  all winning their 1st round matches in their various age groups.   Zoe reached the 1/4 finals of the U/16 doubles. Well done Zoe!

Rosie, Robyn & Richie are all still involved with big matches coming up today......

Rosie plays in the U/16 singles 1/4 Final followed by the  doubles Semi Final

Robyn plays in the Semi Final of the U/14 mixed followed by the 1/4 final of the doubles  -  Tomorrow she plays in the Semi final of the U/14 Singles.

Richie plays in the 1/4 final of the U/12 doubles.

We all wish you the very best of luck 🤞🤞🤞 The club is so proud of you all reaching the closing stages of such a prestigious event.

The  Senior championships are moving along nicely with another week of exciting tennis to go.

The Junior championships are flying along with a great standard of tennis on show...most of all the sportsmanship & camaraderie shown on court has been excellent for all to see.

It's really nice to see so many Mums & Dads  - & Granny & Grandads! - down watching....it means a lot to the kids.

Thanks to Karen & Nicole for their organisation of the event.

Here's to a super Junior Finals day on Saturday!

A big day tomorrow for our Leaving Cert students with the results coming

 out.

You're a great crew - so the very best of luck.
