UPDATE FROM HEAD COACH STEPHEN

A big shout out to Rosie, Robyn & Richie Kennedy - Luke O'Callaghan - Michael & Daniel Carney and Emma Niland who all qualified to play in the the Junior Lawn Tennis Championships of Ireland - U/16 - U/12 & U/10 age groups in Fitz this week.

Rosie has reached the semi final of the U/16 singles - Richie has reached the semi final of both the U/12 singles and doubles event.

They play their semis later today -

Luke had a v tough 1st round match...battled away but just lost.

Michael & Daniel were just pipped in their 1/4 Final U/12 doubles match in the final set tie break.

Emma has one more match today in her U/10 Group.

Very proud to see you all performing so well on the big occasion.

Very best of luck to Rosie & Richie today!

Some super tennis has been on view this week at the Junior Championships.

What has also been obvious is the sportsmanship being showed on the court.

Junior Finals Day is tomorrow - a big day for our Juniors so pop down and support them on what should be a great day's tennis.

The Senior Championships are moving along well - and it's good to see so many of our 16 + year olds entered and pushing the seasoned players!

What a dramatic day at the Hockey World Cup yesterday. The Men having lost in the afternoon it was up to Sarah and the Ladies to try & make it through......and boy did they nearly make it . So unlucky to be pipped having held the lead for so long. Sarah you had a brilliant campaign.. achieving 'Player of the Match' in the match against Spain was recognition of your great talent.

Here's to all our Leaving Cert students who get their results today.... don't worry - you're a bright lot and will do very well!

All   the  best        Stephen
