Good to see so many juniors playing in the Open tournaments - it's a big step to enter any of these tournaments so well done all and from what I've seen and heard the behaviour of you all has been very sportsmanlike.
Well done to Michael Carney & Darragh O'Sullivan who reached the Final of the U/12 doubles at the Bray tour 500 last week.
This week the action is in Carrickmines for the Carrickmines tour 200 & 1000 events. Later today Rosie Kennedy plays in the U/16 semi final of both the singles & doubles - followed by Robyn who has reached the 1/4 finals U/14 of both the singles & doubles - Richie has reached the 1/4 final of both the singles & doubles U/12 events....busy Kennedy household!
Darragh O'Sullivan & Harry Craig have also reached the 1/4 finals of the U/12 doubles and play their match later today.
Isabella O'Toole - Luke O'Callaghan & Harry Craig are all still involved in the 200 tour event.
A great representation of Monkstown players in the latter stages of the tournament....very best of luck to you all 🤞😅
Tough luck on our Ladies 7th team who were pipped in their playoffs the other night...great effort to get to the playoffs. Better news for our 2nd team who won through to the 1/4 finals on Saturday to play Brookfield 1st Away @ 11am...best of luck Ladies!
And then there was one! Our 1st team is the only Mens team left standing after the 4th team was beaten last night. They play v Clontarf 1st - Away - Saturday next @ 2pm...good luck lads...a great league campaign by all.
The Summer Camps are filling up nicely so do register - with a pal - to join in.
All the best, Stephen
WELL DONE
Well done to our own JACK STOKES who played on the Irish team at the European Lawyers Tennis Championships in Rotterdam last week.
He competed in singles and doubles matches against stiff opposition from Croatia, England, Holland and Italy at the biennial tournament. Onwards to the next edition at Queen's Club in 2027!
