SENIOR NEWS

Re Turkey Tournament

Given the upcoming kitchen renovation works and the busy festive social calendar—including the upcoming Men’s and Ladies’ Christmas Parties, we have decided to postpone the Turkey Tournament.

We plan to host a fantastic tournament in the New Year instead to kick off the season in our newly upgraded facilities.

We feel everyone will appreciate the timing as it allows the renovation team to get straight to work without disruption. These improvements to our kitchen and function room will be a massive benefit to all members, and we want to extend a huge thank you to the team for getting these works underway.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you all at the upcoming Christmas parties and at our event in the New Year!

LADIES’ NEWS

Ladies Floodlight League

The Ladies Floodlight league wrapped up this week with fantastic matches played across the board and wins for our Second and Third teams.

Huge thank you to our team captains Olivia Crossan, Karen MacKenna and Grace Cleary and all the players and subs who contributed. All teams maintained their position and will be staying in class for the next season.

Winter Doubles Box Challenge

Ladies Doubles Autumn Box Challenge was launched this week with over 80 players participating.

With DLTC leagues increasingly adopting the 10-point championship tiebreak in lieu of a full third set, we have decided to integrate a championship tiebreak into our Box Matches as the final game. This will allow our players to get Championship Tie break experience within competitive games and these Tie Breakers will be worth valuable double point so well worth the challenge!

Best of luck to everyone participating, enjoy the matches and remember to get them all played by December 13th!!.

 Ladies Singles Box Tournament

This tournament comes to an end on Friday 13th November. It’s been a wonderful challenge with over 115 Singles Matches held over the six week period. Brilliant practice for our singles players.

All participants are invited to the club house on Friday evening 13th to celebrate our first singles box tournament and for the presentation of the prizes to the box winners.  Well done to everyone who took part. We hope to repeat this challenge in January - more details to follow.
