January continues to be quiet a ‘wet’ month, a good time to rest before the busy tennis schedule for the remainder of the year!

Championships:  Senior Championships 14th – 29th August.  At Home – Sat 29th August

                             Junior Championships – 17th – 21st August.

 

 

2026 ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS

A reminder that the Membership Subscriptions are due. 

Payments can be made in full with a deadline of 13th February 2026 or by instalments via Payzone. 

Those wishing to pay by instalments have up until 27th January to avail of the plan.

BLUE & GOLD 2026

FUN MIXED DOUBLES TOURNAMENT  - 16 PLAYERS NEEDED

Friday Evenings at 7.30pm

 

FORMAT:  FUN Mixed Doubles Tournament, against local clubs, held on Friday evenings at 7.30pm.

DATES:      MATCHES  over 5 weeks:  20th  Feb, 27th Feb, 6th  March, 13th March,  20st March,

                    Finals in Sandycove on  Fri 27th March.  

 

TEAMS:     MLTC will enter TWO teams each comprising 4 mixed doubles pairings 

                    First pairing:    Class 3/4.    Second pairing: Class 5/6.  

                    Third pairing :  Class 7/8.    Fourth pairing : Non league.

 

ENTRY: Players must be over 18.  If we are oversubscribed, preference for places will be given to players who are not on a winter league team or charity league team.

SIGN UP:  Please register your interest by  Sunday 8th  February either on the MLTC Noticeboard or contact  incoming Captains – Noreen ,  or Bill

LADIES WINTER LEAGUE

The Winter League teams are busy getting ready for their campaign which starts January 25th. Many thanks for the positive feedback on the various coaching, this has been relayed to Stephen.  Any coaching that has been cancelled due to weather will be added at the end.  The very best of luck to all the teams on Sunday, UP MONKSTOWN! 

 

WEEKLY DROP-IN COACHING

Will continue on Wednesday at 7pm @ €7 per session.  Please let Colette know if you would like to be added to the WhatsApp group.

 

WEDNESDAY LADIES MORNING

Looking forward to seeing you at tennis next Wednesday from 10am to 12.

MEN’s WINTER LEAGUE

Matches start this Sunday 25th January. Thanks to Stephen O’Shea, Harry Crossan, Jack Stokes and Tim Stokes for captaining the teams.  All four teams are playing at home from 9.30am on Sunday morning, so come along to support !

1st team (cl2):                        Home to Wicklow Town @ 11am

2nd team (cl3):           Home to Laytown at 11am

3rd team (cl4):            Home to Clane 2 @ 9.30am

4th team (cl6):            Home to Celbridge @ 9.30

 

 

EASTER CUP

Men’s over 35 doubles competition starting on Saturday 31st January with MLTC’s group matches finishing on 7th March.  We are finalising the squad so if you are interested in playing, please contact Dermot Hayes or Bill Sadlier. 

 

 

MEN’S MORNING – Sunday Mornings

Unfortunately due to the DLTC Men’s Winter League, we have all four teams playing at home this week. 

Apologies to the men who would normally play Men’s Morning but maybe you would come along for a tea/coffee and support the mens teams!

Come and join us for Club Night tonight - any time between 8pm and 10pm.  Stephen will kick things off with some fun drills/games at 8pm, if it has stopped raining by then!
