MLTC NEWSLETTER 17th  July 2026

 What a great two weeks of tennis we have had at MLTC - Junior and Senior Handicaps.  Weather couldn’t have been better   Matches played with great spirit and good humour. As for the Café – we have been spoilt with such wonderful fare.

Do come and watch some great matches and enjoy the ambiance of the Café and Club!

MEN’S EVENTS

MEN’S MORNING – Sunday Mornings

Men’s morning takes place at the usual time of 10am-12 this Sunday, courts 4 & 5, followed by a cuppa, of course - All standards welcome!

SENIOR HANDICAPS

  Friday 17th July 🎾🇫🇷

 We are so looking forward to seeing you for one more evening of matches before finals day tomorrow!!

 We have a full schedule of semi finals lined up for this evening. 

 We hav enjoyed so many super exciting matches and enjoyable evenings during the past two weeks and tonight promises to deliver more great tennis and fun.

 The Cafe du Paris is open again this evening serving drinks, snacks and sweet treats. 🍷

Finals Day Saturday 18th July

 Programme:

 11am     Finals Matches (details to be confirmed)

 12.30     Everyone please join us for Complimentary Roland Garros style tea, coffee and pastries,  courtesy of the handicaps events team.

 1pm  Remaining Finals Matches (details to be confirmed)

 The Cafe du Paris will be closed tomorrow to facilitate the setting up of the BBQ  and there is no need to bring a plate.

Rolland Garros BBQ 

 The sun is due to continue shining for us for Saturday evening and the Handicaps BBQ. 

 Everyone will be seated outside to avail of the warm evening. Please bring a light jacket/cardi in case it gets cool later in the evening.  

 Even if you are not attending the BBQ, we would love to invite you to join us for our Prosecco Reception and Prizegivng on the terrace, starting at 7pm sharp!

 7pm        Prosecco on the terrace.

 7.30pm   Welcome and prize giving

 8pm       Seating and BBQ with same selection of wines and beers that you have been sampling over the past few weeks and/or BYOB

 8.30 -11 pm  Live entertainment with singer Jon Ward 🎤 🎶!

 Table plan details will be posted in the club. 

 We are so looking forward to the next couple of days and to seeing you all for our Handicaps semis and finals and celebrations.

JUNIOR SUMMER CAMPS

Save the dates for Summer Camps:  This will be great fun-an opportunity to make friends and learn new tennis skills open to all levels – we particularly welcome our new junior members to these camps.

27th – 31st July

10th - 14th August

24th – 26th August

SUPERVISED TENNIS SUMMER SCHEDULE

Summer Supervision continues next week –

          Monday to Thursday 11-1, 2-4 (none on Fridays) (members only)

4 weeks left in the summer supervision as none on during the Junior Championships - Cost is €10 per week or part thereof.

Now open to book on Easy Payments.
