Best of Luck to Lisa O'Shea and George McGill are in Barcelona at the moment representing Ireland in the Potter Cup!
And Well done to Pat Cowley who represented Ireland in The World Teams Championships held in Bol, Croatia, last week!
HALLOWEEN TENNIS CAMPS
Tuesday 28th to Friday 31st October
Age 6 to 8 years, 10am – 12noon
Age 9 to 12 years, 12noon to 2pm
Booking now open on Easy Payments!
If your child is bringing a friend to camp please book the friend in on Easy Payment under the Bring a Friend selection. We will then send you a form which it is necessary for the friend’s parent to fill out for insurance purposes.
LADIES EVENTS
OVER 60S LEAGUE
Team 2 played in their quarter finals against Stackallen on Wednesday, unfortunately, the matches didn’t go their way. Congratulations to the team on their amazing achievement topping their section and getting to the quarter finals.
FLOODLIGHT LEAGUE
We are now into week 4 of the Floodlight league and Monkstown are playing amazing tennis in very challenging matches with strong results and tight games by all 3 teams.
Next week’s home games are:
- Monkstown 1 vs Shankill – Captained by Elizabeth McGee
- Monkstown 3 vs UCD at 7pm – Captained by Millie Aherne

WINTER BOX CHALLENGE
The Winter boxes are now on the notice board. All matches NEED TO BE PLAYED BY December 14th. The coordinator of your group will share the challenge guidance. Each pairing will play 4 games between now and mid-December……… and there will be a prize for the winners of each group. Enjoy the challenge and if you have any queries feel free to contact me
WEDNESDAY LADIES MORNING TENNIS
Next Wednesday is our Halloween Tournament starting at 10am to 12.
Please come for 9.45 dressed in your best Halloween outfits if you wish.

MEN’S EVENTS
MEN’S SENIOR LEAGUE – DLTC
Our men’s senior league campaign came to an end last weekend!
Our first team lost a very close semi-final to Glenageary. Well done to Scott, George, Michael, Johnny, Robin and Stephen for great campaign and playing some top quality tennis.
Our third team won their quarter-final comprehensively on Saturday against Lansdowne but unfortunately lost to Kilternan in their semi-final. The team will be promoted so well done to Ciaran, Aaron (captain), Jonathan, Declan, Mark, Daithi, Greg, Alfie and Gus on a very successful run.
Thanks to Stephen O’Shea, Peter O’Leary and Aaron Duffy for captaining the teams.
MEN’S FLOODLIGHT LEAGUE – DLTC
The flood light league continues with all 3 teams going well. Round 4 next Monday 20th Oct:
1st team (class 2): away to Templeogue @ 7.30pm
2nd team (class 3): away to De Vesci @ 7.30pm
3rd team (class 6): home to Carrickmines at @ 7pm

Men’s Morning will be at the usual time of 10am to 12 noon this week.
Do come along for tennis, coffee and chats.
CLUB NIGHT
Come and join us for Club Night tonight - any time between 8pm and 10pm. Stephen will kick things off with some fun drills/games at 8pm.
UPDATE FROM STEPHEN
Its all eyes on our Junior teams now as they make super progress in their various Leagues.
Our U/14 Girls team topped their section and are through to the 1/4 Final v Carraig - to be played on Sunday 2nd Nov @ 3.30 in Monkstown..
Congrats & good luck to the team - Mia Keogh, Isabella O'Toole, Grace & Sarah O'Callaghan, Lauren Geraghty & Ciara O'Sullivan - and the all important subs who helped out along the way - Claire Mehigan, Caoimhe O'Kane & Roisin Hassell.
The U/14 Stars & Stripes had a winning start at Home v Bray last Saturday and now play Meadowvale - away - this Saturday.
The U/12 Mixed team had a super win over David Lloyd last Saturday..
Well done to the team - Holly Hanrahan & Moya O'Kane - Harry Craig & Ciara O'Shea - Sam & Daniel Carney.
Another winning team!....... The U/10 mixed team had a super win...they beat Newtown Park 2/1 - Well done to the team - Emma Niland, Elodie O'Toole, Hugo Moroney, Robin Hegarty, Luke O'Rourke & Isaac Cassidy.
This Saturday they play Deerpark in Monkstown @ 4pm
A brilliant achievement by the U/12 Stars & Stripes Girls team, who won the points trophy in that particular league...Congrats Girls!
Great success all round by our up and coming young people!
You all represent Monkstown with great pride & sportsmanship..well done.
The Ladies Charity league is progressing well with the Monday League team having another win - this time against Sandycove last Monday.
The Monday Non League and the 2 Tuesday Advanced League teams all picked up 1 point each.
Just to finish - we all wish Lisa & George the very best of luck as they headed to Barcelona yesterday to represent Ireland in the Potter Cup.
