OFFICIAL COURT OPENING of ADVANTAGE CLAY COURTS

On Saturday, September 5th, we were delighted to host the official opening by Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill of our new advantage clay courts.

Thank you to all who participated and attended, including local TD, Barry Ward.

And of course, the new courts would not have happened without the trojan work of our Executive Committee and the Courts Committee (Declan Cotter chairperson, Jemma Houlihan,  Kevin Polley,  Fiona O'Sullivan and Helen Bunbury, to whom we extend our gratitude.

UPDATE FROM HEAD COACH STEPHEN

The big news this week is the selection of both Rosie and Richie  Kennedy

to play for Ireland in the 4 Nations,  versus England - Scotland and Wales. Rosie plays in the U/18 category and Richie in the U/12 category.

They travel to Nottingham on the 17th September.

Huge Congratulations

Rosie & Richie from all the members.

Pretty unique to have a brother and sister selected to play on the same 4 Nations team.  Proud mum & dad ..... Ruth & Rob!

The very best of luck to you both for this great occasion.

The Junior League and Stars & Stripes get under way this weekend.

Keep the Monkstown flag flying!

The Senior League reaches the halfway stage this weekend - keep battling for those points!

A great occasion in the club last Saturday with the official opening of the new courts.  The club looked at its best - with all who attended most impressed - particularly Jennifer Carroll MacNeill and Barry Ward.

Well done to all who were involved in organising the event.

All   the  best        Stephen

MEMBER SURVEY

As part of developing our plans for the club, it is important to us to seek your views.  Please note, we will be sending out a member survey next week and we would greatly appreciate if you would take the time to complete same.  It should only take 10/15 minutes and will provide valuable insights for the Strategy Committee in creating the MLTC 3-year Strategy Document for 2027 to 2030.  We intend to present this at the AGM in February 2027 as part of continued efforts to improve the Governance of the Club and to keep looking to the future.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Strategy Committee for all their hard work on this project under the chairperson Julie Ryan.
