MLTC Club Notices 01/05/2026

MLTC NEWSLETTER 1st May 2026

Wishing all our members a very Happy Bank Holiday Weekend!

COMMITTEES - 2026

Thank you to all of those who have volunteered in 2026 for the various sub committees.

As part of the Executive Committees commitment to share with you the members, the transparency of how we run the club on your behalf please find attached a document which outlines the various committees, coordinators and members.

You will note that we have over 70 volunteers to run the club almost 10 per cent of the senior members.  This is something you should all be so proud of and without your contributions we would not have the great club that we have.

I would also like to thank especially those who have undertaken to coordinate the various committees as this does take that extra bit of time and to Helen Bunbury our Vice President for compiling the information.  These will be posted on the website and terms and references for each committee will also be posted over the next few weeks.

I cannot thank the volunteers enough for the time and effort they take out of their busy schedules from lock up duties to Health and Safety to name but a few.

Looking forward to a great year ahead especially on our new courts without the great work of the Courts Committee we would not be where we are today.

Regards

Margaret Quinn

Club President

MALE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are still looking for as many male members as possible to volunteer to assist with our club lock-up rota. This involves helping to ensure the clubhouse and grounds are properly secured at the end of the day (Monday to Thursday only) on a rotating basis.

The commitment is minimal, and the more volunteers we have, the lighter the load for everyone. It’s a great way to support the smooth running of the club and contribute to our community.

If you are willing to take part or would like more information about what’s involved, please reply to this email or ring the office.

We welcome your assistance with this!

Last nights club night organised by captains Noreen & Bill was a super event – we had 8 coaches/top players giving tips and doing drills with a great turnout of members.  Followed by wine, nibbles and chats – even the light rain didn’t dampen our enthusiasm.  We hope to have similar nights going forward!
